Everyone’s writing journey is different. It’s easy to get caught up in the comparison game. But know that you still have a story to tell.
I keep wanting to be further in my life’s journey than I am but I have to remember that we are all at different stages and the writing community is pretty great and most authors support each other.
I sometimes think what I’m writing is actually good but then I read a profound, life changing book and I want to toss my MS in a drawer and hide. Still no one will write a story like you so please don’t give up. It’s easy to do but most of us are stubborn and won’t give up. Which is a blessing and a curse.
All I can do is keep chipping away on my work in progress and do the best I can. Meanwhile cheering for and encouraging fellow writers.
