There’s nothing like a great book that gets me motivated to write and revise again but I’ve been in a rut with revisions lately. After and during reading an inspired book, it ignites my passion to create a world as amazing as the story I’m reading. I know that it’s easier said that done. Although, there are times I read an average or not-so-great book and it still urges me to write better. There’s something about reading a book that motivates me to create my own world and story. It gives me an incentive to keep writing and to tell…

I’ve been overthinking a lot of things for the last few years that I forget that part of creativity is playing, getting messy, and having fun. Play activates the part of the the brain to learn in the flow state. In the flow state I learn new techniques or something I never knew before. I’m tired of acting like a robot and want to learn from my mistakes because the more mistakes I make, the more I will grow. That said, I still want to strive to better myself but I think I’m stressing myself out for no good reason. There’s more…

Leave a CommentJust finished my latest journal! I’m so excited! I love starting new notebooks but I wasn’t really in love with this one, it’s by Markings from Staples but it only cost $5 but I still made every dollar count! This one took me almost 4 years to complete, since March of 2014. I used to have time to journal near daily but that slid off about when I got my previous job. I had been journaling off and on last year but I’m determined to journal at least weekly when I can. It’s been fun to see my progress and…
Leave a CommentHey everyone! So if you don’t follow me on Twitter or Instagram you probably don’t know that I finally got my Nomad Satchel! I’ve been so excited for it since I helped Kickstart it last year! I decided to do my first Urban Sketch at my local mall at Barnes and Noble, because where else would I shop at the mall? This post isn’t going to be a review at all, it’s just a sneak peek. I’m still using the Nomad and trying to figure out the configuration I want to use but I do plan on doing a review…
Leave a CommentHey all! Apologies again for the inconsistent blogging schedule. As you know I’ve been working on my novel and life took over. My car decided to have issues and I went out to hang with some friends too. Oh, and family came over to visit so I’ve been busy. lol Well I finally did it! I SENT A DRAFT TO MY BETA READERS! So if you signed up and didn’t get an email from me that has the draft and questionnaire, please let me know! This is a huge step for me because I’ve been working on this project off…
Leave a CommentHello friends! Hope all is well on your end of things. Life is going well, no major complaints here. Glad the weather is lightening up. It’s the coldest February we’ve had here for decades. 0.0;; Hope it doesn’t happen again soon but I’m glad it’s March now. Now, you didn’t come here to hear about that! Onwards! Writing related, I’ve been able to get myself to revise more of my WIP but I’m not going to lie. I’ve been struggling. I had a tough time writing this project and it’s even harder to revise and edit it. My perfectionist self…
Leave a CommentHello friends! I know I haven’t been posting regularly but I haven’t had too much to update you guy with concerning my projects. If you follow my twitter (@aisazia or @he_anev) then you pretty much have seen what I’ve been up to lately. I’ve been in the slews of editing and I’m about half way done with my 2nd draft. So I’ll be trying to finish that and maybe a 3rd draft before I send it out to beta readers which you can apply here! Since it’s my first time editing a project of such lengths I fear it’s taking…
Leave a CommentHappy Belated Halloween and Nanowrimo! So, I fell off the wagon with Inktober but I managed to get a little over half way done. Here are the rest of them if you’re curious to see. Some of them turned out better and some worse than I expected but it was still a fun little exercise I was able to do for the month. The job hunt is still on but I’m trying to stay optimistic. I’m glad to have a good part time job for now but I really feel like I’m not doing as well as I hoped. Still…
Leave a CommentHey guys! So I decided last minute to do Inktober but I ended up already messing up a few days in. XD These are more like sketches than actual ink drawings but at least it’s something and I’m getting them done, right? lol Actually I had to catch up, but fortunately I was never more than a day or two behind. haha Those of you following my twitter or tumblr know that I’ve been struggling to keep up but I hope to keep it going. My goal was to draw things I don’t usually draw so some things look better…
