First Nomad Satchel Outing and Sketch Review

Hey everyone! So if you don’t follow me on Twitter or Instagram you probably don’t know that I finally got my Nomad Satchel! I’ve been so excited for it since I helped Kickstart it last year! I decided to do my first Urban Sketch at my local mall at Barnes and Noble, because where else would I shop at the mall?
This post isn’t going to be a review at all, it’s just a sneak peek. I’m still using the Nomad and trying to figure out the configuration I want to use but I do plan on doing a review for those of you who are curious. So far I like it but I do have a few minor issues with it that others may or may not have the same problem.
Here are some photos of my sketchbook and some of the tools I used. I used my Noodler’s Brush Pen with Noodler’s Black Ink. XD Keeping it simple with just using ink. I met up with a friend and we both sketched a little something and chatted. It was tons of fun!

This is just a sketch I did using Strathmore Gray Toned paper for the first time. I need to find a better white for highlights. The colored pencil I used wasn’t very bright…you can hardly see it.
Otherwise, in writing news, I’m still waiting on some feedback from my beta readers. The end of the month is approaching and I hope I get a few more responses by then.
I’ve also kept myself busy with writing a short story for a submission during Campnanowrimo. I’ve not quite done as much outlining as I would have liked for two of my series but I still have a week or so to work on those. Would really love to start working on those stories.
What about you guys? What have you been up to lately?
