Sorry if I’ve been MIA recently, this new job shift had me busier than expected. I’ve been good at meeting my goals for revisions the last few months but the past week or so has been tough for me mentally. I had to stop revising my novel the last week of my 2 month of consistent revisions. The revisions are going good but slow, still need lots of work. I’m a little sad I had to stop but I think I needed the break. I felt burnt out and slightly depressed so I felt the need to step back and do some self care.
I feel much better after a few days of rest which included reading and binge watching TV shows. My brain could not handle too much so I relaxed. I picked up some Whit’s ice cream as a treat when I happened to drive by it. Although I think I might have been cross contaminated so I didn’t feel 100% great the next day.š© Lol Still worth it considering these are the last few warm days before Fall weather comes.
Trying to be better about self care but I slip up more than I should and then I feel burnt out. Been trying to disconnect earlier and rest which is helping but I still wish I had more energy to devote to my projects. How do you guys prevent burn out?
