I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about my favorite podcasts! I’ve been listening for about a year and a half now and have narrowed down some of my favorites.
Quick story on how I got into podcasts: I first started listening to audio books I borrowed from my local library. I listened to them during my daily commute to my day job (currently 30 min each way but the previous job was about 40 min). That led me to podcasts because they were shorter and didn’t take days to get through and I liked learning new things they provided. Podcasts have been time saving, educational, and it makes me feel good that I don’t totally waste my time driving or waiting in traffic.
The following podcasts are my automatic downloads. I’m still not caught up with all the above podcasts but I’m always on the look out for more. I think I have 400+ episodes downloaded in my queue. Still it doesn’t stop me from looking for more!
These podcasts inspire me and gives me the motivation I need to push through my mindset so that I can produce and work on my business and provide you valuable content.
Entrepreneur and Business
- Goal Digger by Jenna Kutcher – Jenna’s joy, optimism, and positivity shines when she speaks. Not only do I want to hang on to every wonderful and knowledgeable word she says, she’s authentic and real. A great role model, beautiful person, and intelligent human being I’d want on my side.
- Don’t Keep Your Day Job by Cathy Heller – Nothing gets me as pumped up and inspired to work on my creative business endeavors as this podcast. Cathy is passionate, wonderful, and inspiring. Every time I finish an episode I feel uplifted and feel like I can take on the world. She seems to know the right things to say to make me want to chase my dream. I love her enthusiasm and her light is what many of us creatives need in our lives.
- Being Boss by Kathleen Shannon and Emily Thompson – This podcast features two brilliant business women who tell what it’s like to be a creative boss running their own creative empires. Not only do they share the realness and reality of the hard work it takes to run a business but also how their passions came to be and how they found each other and became “business besties”. If you’re interested, I’m looking for one. ^_~
- Screw the Nine to Five by Josh and Jill Stanton – NSFW or young children due to language but these Jill and Josh are married and hilarious. They interview other savvy business people and personally they share the lessons they’ve learned on their journey running their business. Love how inspiring and informative this couple is to work together to share things they’ve learned or mistakes they’ve made so that others could learn from them.
- The Side Hustle School by Chris Guillebeau – Chris shares the fascinating idea of a “side hustle” and the various journeys and “side hustles” other people have tackled to help make their passions or dreams come true starting off as a side gig. It proves that anyone can create a side hustle, either to add an extra income stream or perhaps a newfound passion turn full time gig.
Ok your turn! What are your favorites podcasts? I’d love to give them a listen!
