Sorry that I couldn’t contribute more in my video when talking about Black Lives Matter. I’m still working on speaking on camera. I’m not good with speaking verbally, I always preferred to get my thoughts on paper than to say it aloud unless I’m really comfortable with someone.
I am a POC woman but am not black. In hopes of showing my solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement, I wanted to create this art piece to help spread the word about the movement. If people want, I can make the featured watercolor art available for others to use free of charge but I’m not sure if anyone wants it as I’m a baby artist and unknown.
My goal of the piece is to show frustration of the ongoing situation and a determination to continue to have our friend’s voices heard. Again, any similarity between my original character and a real life person is coincidental.
