2020 July CampNanoWriMo – Update #1

I decided to talk about my writing or novel work in progress for July CampNanoWriMo 2020. I talk about my goals, current status, and how I track my progress. I’m currently drafting a few short stories for one project and forever revising my other novel project. I mention using the Reverse NanoWriMo method which is my preferred approach when it comes to drafting new stories. Thanks for watching! 2016 Speckled Fawns Field Notes Collection | Traveler’s Notebook

This is one of my first videos I recorded when I thought about starting a YouTube channel. As you can see, I thought about it in 2016 but then life things got in the way and I didn’t record anything else. lol I still think that this information is still good and useful so I decided to upload it. I will likely update it in the future but wanted to share it with you since I already had it recorded. I hope you still enjoy it! Thanks for watching! African Violets | Watercolor Time Lapse by Aisazia Creations

I’ve been continuing to challenge myself with my watercolor paintings. I know I’ve been doing more complex objects which is good for me! Pushing myself has increased my confidence and courage to try drawing or painting subjects I don’t normally do. I think I’ll probably go back and forth between more simple subjects and complex subjects as I feel inspired. Some days I know exactly what I want to paint but others I have no clue, even as I have the paint and paper ready and set up. lol My sister has been obsessed with plants and I decided to…

Diamond Head | Watercolor Time Lapse by Aisazia Creations

Aloha! Today I will be painting the Diamond Head Landmark in Oahu. My mom and I were able to to visit last year for the first time and we had a wonderful time. My mom had her birthday this past week and at her request she wanted a rainbow, mountain, palm trees, and mentioned and island and I thought of Hawaii! So for her birthday I painted this for her as a gift. I’m thrilled that she seemed delighted by the painting. 😆 I was afraid she might not like it. lol I can’t help but feel critical of myself…

Current Watercolor Palette Setup Update #1 | Watercolor Palette Journey #2

Today I will be walking you through my current main palette set up! It’s a bit messy right now because I’ve been adding paint as I buy them so it’s mostly grouped by brand. The plan is to give an update whenever something significant changes in my palette. So far I think it has everything I might need to paint but I must paint in order to know that for certain! That’s why I’ve been doing the time lapses. So far so good, I don’t currently feel the need to purchase new watercolor paints yet. It’s been fun exploring the…

My Dog Portrait | Watercolor Time Lapse by Aisazia Creations

I have to admit, I was surprised and pleased at how this turned out! Not to toot my own horn but I haven’t really sketched or drawn animals in awhile. I did use a reference photo I took of my dog so I think that helped a lot. I was also pleased by the sketch I did for the painting and was afraid of messing it up when I started to watercolor. lol I’m thrilled that it turned out decent! I should consider drawing my older pets, unfortunately, they have passed, but I liked how this turned out and it’d…

Welcome to my new series! It’ll feature my main Watercolor Palette Journey which I think will be an ongoing process. This is the first of the series and it’s choosing a watercolor palette that suits me and I explain why in my video. Follow along as I experiment and decide which watercolor palette and paints I decide to use for my main every day watercolor palette. The goal is for me to be able to paint whatever I want from the paints in my main palette. Thanks for watching! Be sure to like, ring the notification bell, and subscribe like…

Black Lives Matter | Watercolor Time Lapse Process by Aisazia Creations

Sorry that I couldn’t contribute more in my video when talking about Black Lives Matter. I’m still working on speaking on camera. I’m not good with speaking verbally, I always preferred to get my thoughts on paper than to say it aloud unless I’m really comfortable with someone. I am a POC woman but am not black. In hopes of showing my solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement, I wanted to create this art piece to help spread the word about the movement. If people want, I can make the featured watercolor art available for others to use free of charge…
