I have to admit, I was surprised and pleased at how this turned out! Not to toot my own horn but I haven’t really sketched or drawn animals in awhile. I did use a reference photo I took of my dog so I think that helped a lot. I was also pleased by the sketch I did for the painting and was afraid of messing it up when I started to watercolor. lol I’m thrilled that it turned out decent!
I should consider drawing my older pets, unfortunately, they have passed, but I liked how this turned out and it’d be a nice memory for me to paint them as well. Plus, in a way I can share them with you!
