2 Comments(Ignore the random marks on the cover, that was from ink accidentally smearing on the cover from my fingers as I was writing.) The 5×8 inch Spicebox Journal came as a 2-pack with 176 pages each book (only pictured is my green journal). I started this journal in July 2011 and finished in Mid-January 2012. Tried several types of pens and realized ballpoints wrote the best. Even gel pens worked ok but you could still feel the tooth as you wrote. I guess it depends if you like having your pen drag when you write or if you like the…
Leave a CommentI’ve been working sporadically on different projects as of late. Below is a list of projects I’ve more or less been working on. Notice that I’ve decided to take some of my comic projects and am writing them as novels instead. I decided that I could describe the story better in words with supplementary illustrations than illustrating it all because it would be so detailed. lol Not that you guys know or anything but I’m just letting you know. Still trying to carry out the others in comic form so no worries there. ๐ Current Projects Cryptic Treasures – Novel…

Leave a CommentThis is the Moleskine Pocket Storyboard notebook. 3 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ with 80 sheets of thick card stock-like paper. I bought this when I started getting into name brand notebooks and naively thought Moleskine was a high end brand. Well I guess it is, but as you all know the quality isn’t what it used to be but I didn’t know this when I bought it until afterwards. I fell for the expert brand marketing that these notebooks were used by “Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, and Bruce Chatwin.” It looks like they updated their site information…
1 CommentThe Canson 5.5 x 8.5 is my first sketchbook of this size. The above picture is the most current photo I have of it. Please excuse all the edges and dog-eared corners. XD This sketchbook is about 5 years old so I think it’s lasted a good amount of time and I’m still using it. I want to try to use it up as much as possible before I move on. I didn’t bring it everywhere but I did bring it along for a lot of trips. Fits well into a bag or a purse, much better than my larger…
Leave a Comment(Sorry for the late post. I had it all typed out and I meant to schedule it for Friday but forgot…>_<;;) Becca, the author of a great and useful comic blog I follow (Nattosoup.blogspot.com) had asked several good questions on Twitter. She asked webcomic friends: How’d you get inspired, how was your start, how have you kept it going? Well I thought those were some great questions and thought I’d share with you all how I became addicted attached to comics/manga. ๐ My Start How I first came across manga-styled art was actually when I was younger and watched cartoons.…
