Today I will be walking you through my current main palette set up! It’s a bit messy right now because I’ve been adding paint as I buy them so it’s mostly grouped by brand. The plan is to give an update whenever something significant changes in my palette. So far I think it has everything I might need to paint but I must paint in order to know that for certain! That’s why I’ve been doing the time lapses. So far so good, I don’t currently feel the need to purchase new watercolor paints yet. It’s been fun exploring the…

I have to admit, I was surprised and pleased at how this turned out! Not to toot my own horn but I haven’t really sketched or drawn animals in awhile. I did use a reference photo I took of my dog so I think that helped a lot. I was also pleased by the sketch I did for the painting and was afraid of messing it up when I started to watercolor. lol I’m thrilled that it turned out decent! I should consider drawing my older pets, unfortunately, they have passed, but I liked how this turned out and it’d…
Leave a CommentWelcome to my new series! It’ll feature my main Watercolor Palette Journey which I think will be an ongoing process. This is the first of the series and it’s choosing a watercolor palette that suits me and I explain why in my video. Follow along as I experiment and decide which watercolor palette and paints I decide to use for my main every day watercolor palette. The goal is for me to be able to paint whatever I want from the paints in my main palette. Thanks for watching! Be sure to like, ring the notification bell, and subscribe like…
Leave a CommentSorry that I couldn’t contribute more in my video when talking about Black Lives Matter. I’m still working on speaking on camera. I’m not good with speaking verbally, I always preferred to get my thoughts on paper than to say it aloud unless I’m really comfortable with someone. I am a POC woman but am not black. In hopes of showing my solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement, I wanted to create this art piece to help spread the word about the movement. If people want, I can make the featured watercolor art available for others to use free of charge…

Leave a CommentGuess what?! I started a YouTube Channel! It’s an idea I’ve been toying around with for a little but didn’t have the energy or confidence to do it until now.😆I’ll be featuring my art and writing process. I want to document my journey and share it with you. I hope that maybe you’ll find use or entertainment in it! I’m shying away from any “how to” videos right now because I’m still learning myself but if people ask questions, I’ll see if I’ll be able to answer. 😊 No guarantees though. lol😁I only have one video up and it’s only…
Leave a CommentI’ve put this off for far too long, I wanted to focus a bit more on my branding. I’ve decided to be better about creating a consistent “look” for my brand. If you’ve been following me then you’ve already seen some changes. You can see my previous blog header above. I liked the colors but didn’t feel like they were me so I changed them. It will likely keep changing as I do but that’s not much different from what I’ve already been doing. I hope it makes it easier for you guys to recognize my brand online. Branding To…
Leave a CommentThis is a bit of a random post, but I finally started and finished a project I had meant to do years ago! It was before I got really busy. I’m really proud how it turned out! It’s a new DIY Leather Bag! I’m particular about my bags, I realized I don’t like totes or small hand bags. My perfect bags are drawstring backpack purses with pockets that are large enough to hold a medium to large sketchbook. The weight should be evenly distributed on my shoulders. I didn’t mind cross body bags but I kept switching it from side…
