I’ve been continuing to challenge myself with my watercolor paintings. I know I’ve been doing more complex objects which is good for me! Pushing myself has increased my confidence and courage to try drawing or painting subjects I don’t normally do.
I think I’ll probably go back and forth between more simple subjects and complex subjects as I feel inspired. Some days I know exactly what I want to paint but others I have no clue, even as I have the paint and paper ready and set up. lol
My sister has been obsessed with plants and I decided to paint one of the many plants she owns. 🌵🌿☘ I scrolled through her Instagram and the African Violets caught my eye the most because of the variegated leaves and the pop of blue/red from the violets.
Since I finished the painting, I asked if she wanted it and she said yes! lol I wasn’t sure if she’d want it but I’m glad she likes it! Now I’ll have to mail it to her since she lives out of my state. I think I’m going to wait and maybe create a little care package for her but we’ll see. I have no idea what else to include right now. 😅 Sis, if you’re reading this, don’t expect it coming any time soon. I think it’ll just show up at your place as a surprise. 🤣🤣🤣
